About FraudWatch Malaysia

Editorial & independence

FraudWatch Malaysia is a non-commercial research and public-awareness initiative. It exists to help people in Malaysia recognise scams early and act quickly when one happens.

Our ground rules

  • Non-commercial. No advertising, no sponsors, no paid content and nothing for sale.
  • Public sources only. We draw on official sources such as PDRM, Bank Negara Malaysia, NSRC and MCMC, on published news, and on what readers report to us. We never use confidential or employer information.
  • Patterns, not names. We explain how scams work. We do not single out banks or companies, other than official agencies and public checking tools.
  • No endorsements. We do not recommend products or services, and we never refer anyone to a paid "fund recovery" service.
  • Not affiliated. We are independent of Bank Negara Malaysia, PDRM, NSRC and every bank.

Sources and corrections

Each advisory shows the date it was last updated. If you spot an error, email admin@fraudwatch.my and we will correct it and note the change on the page.

Privacy & PDPA

  • Scam reports are used only to spot scam patterns and warn the public. Please leave out names, IC numbers, phone numbers and account numbers.
  • Newsletter emails are used only to send the monthly brief. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • We never sell or share what you send us. Form submissions are stored with our hosting provider, Netlify.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
  • To ask for a submission or your email to be deleted, write to admin@fraudwatch.my.
  • If reports are ever used for non-commercial academic research, we will update this page and the consent wording before that happens.
